Salamatof Tribe Environmental Department

The Salamatof Tribe Environmental Department is developing a Climate Action Plan (CAP) to address the impacts of climate change on our land, people, and culture. This plan will gather community voices, local knowledge, and research to better understand changes such as decreased harvests, dying trees, warming waters, and shifting seasons. By combining community insight with scientific study, the CAP will identify ways to both adapt to these changes and lessen their effects — helping protect the environment that sustains us and the traditions that define who we are.
